pet portraits
background info
my pets are my closest family. my last cat, casey, passed away a few weeks ago, so now i only have my "kitten", delilah. delilah and i have a love hate relationship but she's my baby. she also has many names including kittan, meeko, deedee, and pooface. the other cat that i took a picture of is my sister's cat, hobbes. this was taken when he had to stay at my house for a little while, along with his sister, sadie. back when they stayed at my house, they were tiny and cute. now, hobbes is pretty unintelligent and sadie is absent minded. both are extremely fat too.
reflection
the first photo was taken around 5 o'clock while the sun was setting. my kitten is clearly a born model because she knows where the light is and she moved her face towards the light. i didn't have to do any editing to this picture and i used a decently fast shutter speed. the photo is a little over-exposed, but i think it adds more emphasis to meeko's face.
the second photo was taken in the daytime on my porch. i used an hdr effect in photoshop to create the high definition effect. once again, no coloring or contrast was edited in photoshop.
the third photo was taken when kittan was actually a kitten. i put it on weebly, although i didn't take it this week, because i wanted to show contrast between her kitten phase and her moody adult phase. she decided to lay on top of my sheet music. i think i edited this to have softer colors, but i don't remember exactly what i did to it. the macro setting on my camera was used.
