pet portraits pt. deux
i chose to photography my two cats, delilah and meeka. i took the pictures according to their own personalities. delilah, shown in the first two pictures, is mysterious and very quiet. she also looks very angry most of the time even though she is extremely nice, so i tried to make her look as soft as possible. meek is adventurous and a troublemaker. she's always attacking something or being very expressive. my cats mean a lot to me so i tried to photograph them as best as possible.
delilah photos - both photos were taken outside on my deck. the first photo was taken on a macro setting. the original photograph was very dark so i brightened it in photoshop and edited the contrast levels. the second photograph was of her paws, which was also on the macro setting. i laid the camera on the deck railing to get an ants view of her paws.
meeka photos - the first photo was also taken with dark lighting, so i brightened it and adjusted the contrast to make it lighter. i wanted to get the blue of the walls to add more color and contrast with the color of her eyes. the second photograph was an action shot (meeka was trying to pounce on my face). luckily, it was bright so i could use a faster shutter speed to capture her before she moved. i adjusted the colors to make them warmer, since this was taken in the winter.
